Today's update

Today was the longest day of the tournament so far with a 9:00am start and a 9:30pm finish. 

Joann Rolison got the day off to a good start by winning her third medal of the tournament. She won gold in the Girls Special Technique, taking her tally to 2 golds and 1 silver. 

Richard Belle (-82kg) has made his way into the final which will be held tomorrow. On his way through he beat USA, Wales and Argentina. He will be against Ireland in the final. 

Michael Belle (-64kg) in his first adult world championships was unlucky to loose to Japan. 

Jamaine Hemmings (-70kg) made his way through to the quarter finals today beating Uzbekistan and Ireland, eventually loosing a close fight to the current world champion from Argentina.

Ben England (-64kg) had some good fights against Hong Kong and Argentina, where he eventually lost with a very close decision. 

Jack England (-64kg) fought well in his first tournament since he went up from Junior to Adult. He out fought Sweden but then lost to a very experienced fighter from Spain.

Reuben Hemmings (-76kg), one of the most improved fighters in the team has made his way through to the semi-finals, which will be held tomorrow. On his way through he beat Argentina and Northern Ireland. 

Gavin Williamson (+82kg) got a bronze medal today! On his way through he beat  Holland, Scotland, Argentina before losing to another Argentina fighter.

Rhianne O'Neill (+70kg) fought well against USA but eventually lost to Argentina.
